Yet another interesting point. The point that people really, really, do NOT know what Christianity is all about. They know the stories, and some of what they mean - but, deep down, they just don't get it. Noone is intrinsically, naturally "good". This is the assumption everyone wants to make about themselves. THAT, is natural.

Going to church, and believing in some sort of God, or ideal, will not bring salvation. Only knowing Christ, giving Him Lordship over your life - and following Him will ever do so. This type of philosophy is, quite possibly, the most pernicious one there is. It's also the most damning, and the most dangerous. People who think they are good enough (ourselves included) are treading the path that leads to destruction.
