The Real Frank Verbis Story

GBS (NDP) - TRINN is not telling you everything. TRI is not telling you everything. It's quite possible TRI doesn't know everything itself as there are many players in this drama. Some are quite secretive and quite powerful and are very much enemies of New Dawn.
Knowing this will put us even more in the crosshairs of powerful forces within TRI than we already are, we make this decision very thoughtfully and very deliberatly: the time has come to break the silence before more innocent people die.
In brief, here is what we know:
An agency called TEC (TRI Evolutionary Council) is trying to advance the rate of human evolution. They were responsible for he TRIR murders, the murder of Zhilaa Katdinal, several assassination attempts (including a couple on Dr. Q'Son), framing Dr. Yraal and the subsequent bounty on him, the experiments with biomass resulting in combined human/conflux DNA.
CAG RazorsKiss was high on their hit list at one point and had to drop out of the spotlight for a long time as a result.
They have operatives in every faction except for Amananth. We suspect they were involved in the Dayalu ordeal and in Versalus' death as well.
A review of Zhilaa Katdinal's coded messages may be in order here. However, some of the messages were stored only in forums.jossh archives and were destroyed as part of an "old data" sweep. We suspect TEC involvment there as well. Those stored in the TRINN archives (which are a matter of public record and cannot be "swept" so easily can be found here, here, and here.
It has taken New Dawn a long time to compile the evidence and to piece the story together. What most pilots do not realize is that MOST of TRINN news is inter-related to a central plot, and most of what is has gone wrong in the galaxy in the past year can be traced back to TEC.
However, TRINN (more to the point, the ones controlling TRINN) only provides hints and a brief overview of events as told from a certain slant. Much as media outlets have always tried to CONTROL events instead of simply REPORT events.
The recent staffing turnover at TRINN is further evidence that there is a grand scheme in place in TRI. There are competing pockets of power and influence in the galaxy. One can only wonder what we can expect from the new TRINN.
Now we switch to our paranoia mongerer on the scene!

"Ok, you know that secret I let you guys in on a month or so back? A few others suspect it. I've thrown them off the trail as much as I can, I think. But I pissed someone off when I did it. Someone who officially doesn't exist. A shadow of someone asking about me, some anonymous accounts within TRI trying to break our security protocols. They've tried to access a few things, but they haven't got in. I'm not sure if they are TRI, really.
If they are, that worries me. Remember that "cabal" I was getting hints of? Remember the researcher murders? The attempt on Holly? I think that was them. Someone is manipluating Versalus, a few people in Hyp space, IO, and Castillo like little marionettes. I don't think any of the above are in this group, except maybe someone in Hyp. But they are sure getting info from them. I hear through the grapevine that someone wants me to talk to them. Or talk to me. Whatever. I can't say I'm filled with relief either way. I need to get out of circulation for a while. Way out.

The day RazorsKiss returned, an intriguing thing happened.

Pilots were also on hand before the party to witness the return of pilot RazorsKiss after over a month long mysterious absence. He was rescued earlier in the day by members of squad White Star and New Dawn. After being checked out by medical officials, they determined he had recovered enough to make the journey to Amananth to visit with notable friend Dr. Holly Q'son, who was by all accounts of the situation, "surprised and cheerful" at the return. According to the New Dawn report, a presense identifying itself only as an ancient "Amananth AI" was also present in RazorsKiss' ship, although the identity has not been confirmed by TRI or Amananth at this time and as such, "should be treated with extreme caution", according to officials.
Party goers were also surprised by the attendance of Frank Verbis, fiancee of the late Lola Chee, TRI Research Board Administrative Assistant. (See related articles.) While the party was reported to get wild and a bit crazy (reports of stray nacho cheese have been confirmed, and at least one unopened tin has gone missing), the appearance of Frank Verbis appeared to sober many of the attendees up if not quickly, at least momentarilly. Mr. Verbis is reported to have elected to stay at Amananth for at least the evening, following advice not to drink and fly

Now, Mr. Verbis did not just show up, ladies and gentlemen. You notice that he was mentioned as attending - but nothing was mentioned about what he gave us. He gave us the access code to a terminal. The terminal of the late Lola Chee. The Lola Chee who died in the murder of the researchers... The Lola Chee who was an operative of the TRI Evolutionary Council. Operative 104, to be exact.
Mr.Verbis was not only *not* involved in the researcher murders - but he gave us the closest thing to evidene that we've seen in this case. It *was* his fiance that was killed, after all, correct? So. Is it surprising that he's being "shut up", so to speak? Not very.
Further evidence: Frank Verbis was *not* at Octavian Core at 10:45 EST. He is a) still out there, and TRI/TRINN is lying about his capture; or b) captured in a different location, and TRI/TRINN is also lying about the locale of his capture.
Then, also not so mysteriously, TRINN's staff changes. Or are we sure about that, since they also told us Mr. Verbis was captured in Octavian space? What can we believe from TRI/TRINN now?
How many times can they lie to us, and have us still believe them? I'll go over the instances for you.

So... the voice of warning is now dead. What happens next, you ask? Funny you should mention that.
Their budget gets frozen. Hrmm. Funny how it happens, what, not even a month after that warning? Real peculiar, don't you think?
But it gets better. Pilots even ask to fund TRIR themselves. The request dies in utero.
But it gets better. Not only is TRIR's budget cut off, but Yraal is now under investigation?
It still gets better.
Dr. Castillo denies that records were destroyed - TRINN:"Rumors that vital documents within TRIR have been destroyed, most notably those stored within the Amananth computer systems, were scoffed at by Castillo. "Rumors like that are completely unsubstantiated, and I am unimpressed by those who would attempt to sully the good name of TRI Research with such fabrications."
Well, isn't that ducky. Unfortunately... The fickle winds of change blow, yet again!
TRINN again:"Limited progress has been made on determining who erased data from the Amananthii computers over a month ago. "Although the encrypted access codes have not been broken yet, it seems clear that only an individual with the highest level of TRIR access could have accomplished the selective deletion of this data. We do not even know exactly what data was targeted yet, but we will continue working on this around the clock until we do," commented Castillo."
