Before delving into the history of the
Centric Assemby, it behooves us to discuss the Dissenters
Movement, and it's root causes.
The Dissenters Movement was the brainchild of Trey Radrach,
General-Governor of the colony ship Aroxa, bound for a newly
discovered colony world. This ship was launched in the year BT
2001, but never reached it's destination. When discovered in
the Bronci Rift sector by a passing Artifact hunter in AT 112,
the colonists were originally welcomed with open arms.
Over time, however, groups within TRI began to look at the
reawakened colonists as either gold mines of potential
knowledge, or dangerous loose cannons now unleashed upon TRI.
These two extreme viewpoints were the underpinnings of some
catastrophic events - the Dissent War, and the League War.
In AT 113, now that TRI was alerted to the possibility of
other colony ships, discovered 2 wrecks well off the travel
lanes, and one other surviving ship - this time in The
Connexxion. This ship was named the "Scorel", and was bound
for yet another colony world.
In AT 116, TRI officials from TRI-MD made an unusual
request. All colonists from both vessels were requested to
report to Solrain Core for a massive debrief concerning newly
discovered Collapse information. What they discovered, when
they arrived, was that TRI-MD wanted nothing of the sort. What
they wanted was the "keys" to the two colony ships, which the
expedition leaders had (wisely) chosen to keep on their
persons, and coded to their DNA. They also kept their ships
powered down, and inaccessible by any method known to TRI.
Perhaps TRI should have known better. Perhaps they
underestimated their guests, and their skills at diplomacy.
Not only did they refuse, but they also gathered every
splinter group from unregulated space to themselves. This
unlikely alliance resulted in what is now called "The Dissent
War".
