Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain

Update 4:
I appreciate everyone’s help.

But, honestly… it works in firefox, and coding for internet exploder is an exercise in futility sometimes.

I’ve only known wordpress existed for a little over a month, and css isn’t my specialty.

If anyone wants to look at this.. let me know, and I’ll send you the template and css. See if you can make something of it. I’m tired of looking at it.

Update 3:

Every strong and bold tag is removed from the two sidebars.

I notice the right bar is up higher than the left… could that have something to do with it?

Update 2:

Ok, I’m annoyed. It happens when you mouseover a link that is bolded/stronged.

WHY does that screw things up, I’m asking? WHY OH WHY.

Update:

Ok, IE should work for everyone now. However.. if you’re on 800 x 600 resolution … it won’t.
I have a 16mb video card on this box… so you have no excuse :P

Basically, I totally redesigned the template, the css, and everything. Kept the graphics, and.. yeah.

On Firefox, I get a friggin’ annoying textual glitch - I think the sizes, when it changes from bold to normal, is messed up. I have no idea where it is - I spent probably two hours looking for it. If you can find it… God bless you.

  1. On my machine (Mac at 1600×1200 running OmniWeb) the sidebars appear below the content. I could figure out your glitches for you, but I’ve gotta hit the sack soon.

  2. Great! I am on IE and this is the first time I’ve been able to view your site properly.

  3. That’s one of the weirdest looking glitches I’ve ever seen. The WordPress support forums might be able to help you; they’re generally a pretty helpful bunch.

  4. Heh, glad it helped Catez.

(I LOVE it how when a page is totally screwed up in Firefox… IE displays it just fine. It’s funny :D )

  5. I’m using Firefox and the center column is too far to the left. It overlaps the left column.

    P.S. Internet Exploder sucks.

  8. It’s doing some weird stuff in Firefox and I’m at a ridculously high res. The side bar is overflowing into the comment box.

  9. It’s supposed to be hard-coded to 1024 x 768.

    Something is rotten in denmark.

  10. Got it mostly fixed. I think.

Still some glitches, but much, much better.

You really don’t want to know how many things I messed with to fix it.

  12. The left sidebar is overlapping the content if the browser’s window is too wide. It turns out that the fix is dead simple.

In your CSS definition, you tried to comment out a line in the #rap style sheet. The CSS comment markers are different than HTML markers. If you just delete that line, the layout should work properly.

  14. The weird thing for me is that it is perfect in IE, but none of the sidebars appear in Firefox!!

But, the new look is very nice indeed :-)
