Family Shakespeare

Check out Amanda’s post, about reading Shakespeare to her children.

Be Still, My Beating Heart - indeed.

Good stuff.

  1. A great read. Thanks for the link. Makes me want to read Julius Caesar again! BTW, I love your blog, but don’t visit often because my middled-aged eyes have a difficult time with the black background and small white sans-serif text… Just a thought in case you ever decide to redesign again…. 2. Yeah, I hear you.

My problem is, I’m a designer. The black text on white really, really, really bores me now. Black text annoys me :D

It’s really a light grey, so that you don’t have the “washout” effect that a straight white text has, and the background is actually a dark grey pattern of tiles!

I’ve tried others, but I’m really quite fond of a grey on grey. I may change it one day, but I tend to stay with this general scheme. What I *may* - *may* - do, is create an alternate theme, and allow people to change it to that, if they have trouble with this one.

Sometime when I get done tweaking this “RedRazor” theme. If I ever do!

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry it’s tough for you. Changing a designer’s mind about his site is pretty tough, though :D We tend to design our own sites to our tastes! Other people’s sites, though… :D
